The city of Cartagena will be hosting a full program of events and activities in late August to coincide with the visit of the prestigious Ocean Race Europe to the port.
This is one of the seven ports of call during the 7,000-kilometre race, which starts at Kiel in Germany before heading for Portsmouth (UK), Matosinhos-Porto (Portugal), Cartagena, Bice (France), Genoa (Italy) and finally Boka Bay in Montenegro.
Interestingly, on the Ocean Race Europe website the images of Cartagena featured mainly show the port, the Roman Theatre, the Town Hall and the isolated fortifications and gun batteries on Cabo Tiñoso!
