Heat alerts for half the week: Murcia Weather Forecast Aug 5-8
Temperatures should cool off very slightly towards the weekend in the Region of Murcia
Weather alerts on Tuesday August 6
Incredible temperatures in excess of 45ºC have been recorded in the Region of Murcia at the beginning of August and while this coming week promises to be another scorcher, the mercury won’t reach these sweltering heights again. Nevertheless, the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has activated yellow heat warnings in several municipalities.
Monday August 5
Monday will be mostly bright and sunny with a light smattering of clouds, although it will be more overcast in mountainous areas. Temperatures will rise slightly inland, and a yellow alert has been issued from 1pm in the Segura Valley and in the northwest.
Tuesday August 6
The yellow heat alert will extend to parts of Lorca and Águilas on Tuesday, when the thermometers will again approach the 40ºC-mark. The day will be mostly clear or partly cloudy with only a very light breeze.
Wednesday August 7
Wednesday will be another bright and sunny day for the most part and the middle of the week will finally bring some relief from the heat, albeit slight. It will feel even cooler along the coast thanks to a strong easterly breeze.
Thursday August 8
Thursday’s forecast is almost identical to Wednesday’s, with the temperatures hovering between 33ºC and 38ºC. The skies will be mostly clear and the generally light wind will feel more blustery in coastal areas.
Minimum and maximum temperatures in the Region of Murcia
- Monday Aug 5: Min 18ºC; Max 38ºC
- Tuesday Aug 6: Min 20ºC; Max 39ºC
- Wednesday Aug 7: Min 19ºC; Max 37ºC
- Thursday Aug 8: Min 18ºC; Max 38ºC
