May 10 Free guided hike in the mountains of Mazarron between Pinilla and Camposol
A 3-hour walk in the mountains between Camposol and Pinilla
The second section of the Vía Verde in the municipality of Mazarrón starts in El Saladillo, very close to the Camposol development, and continues through the undulating terrain of El Algarrobo and the Campo de Cartagena to the municipality of Fuente Álamo, where the greenway forks in two directions.
This 9.3-kilometre walk on 10th May, organized by the tourist office of Mazarrón, is a return trip in the Majal de Gracia area of the mountains, branching off onto the PR-MU 100 route, and is expected to take between 3 and 4 hours.
The walk starts at 9.00 and bookings are accepted both through the Mazarrón tourist (telephone 968 594426, email oficinaturismomazarron@gmail.com) and through online through the regional tourist board website here.
The commentary is in Spanish but this will not prevent walkers enjoying the route, and there is usually someone with enough English to help understand the main points!
Strongly recommended: drinking water, walking shoes, cap, sun cream, facemask.
The booking period begins a week before the event and ends at 13.30 on the day prior to the tour. Each participant must register separately, and participants must show proof of identity (DNI, passport, NIE or TIE). If participants are minors this must be indicated on the booking.
Bookings may not be transferred.
Under no circumstances will unregistered participants be allowed to join the group.
