Nora Nautic : Flyboards, Jetskis and motorised boats for hire, Puerto de Mazarron
Watersports in the Puerto de Mazarrón, El Alamillo beach Costa Cálida
Nora Nautic are based on the El Alamillo beach in the Puerto de Mazarrón for the summer months and hire out motorised boats, flyboards and jet skis on a short-term basis. All equipment is supervised by qualified staff and can be hired for just a few minutes to a full day according to requirement.
Water Sports in Puerto de Mazarron, Costa Calida
Nora Nautic set up each year in the Puerto de Mazarrón on the El Alamillo beach, hiring out power boats, flyboards and jet skis on a short-term basis.
The boats are great fun for a family or group of friends as they’re not high-powered speed boats, but fairly leisurely cruiser vessels which are designed for driving close to shore, while the flyboards and jetskis offer higher powered nautical entertainment.
The boats are Quasar Yamaha13LX boats, 4mtrs long, with a four stroke Yamaha 13.5HP engine, so are not powerful enough to put someone in a dangerous position, but powerful enough to be fun, and easy to drive.
They seat 4 people, so split the cost between 4 and it’s not too bad for an enjoyable boat trip
Boat hire prices:
1 hour- 50 euros
2 hours – 75 euros
3 hours – 95 euros
4 hours – 110 euros
Full day – 170 euros
The only point to note is that the 4 hour and whole day rates do not include fuel, as the owner says that rather than driving to a private beach and enjoying themselves, hirers have been known to drive non-stop for four hours and it costs him a fortune in fuel!
Jet ski hire prices:
Jet skis seat 2 people.
15 minutes for 40 euros
30 minutes for 70 euros
60 minutes for 120 euros
Full length excursions with a guide (minimum of two jet skis): 30 minutes for 80 euros, 1 hour for 130 euros, 2 hours for 190 euros (To Águilas and back)
Flyboarding
A fairly new addition to the services Nora Nautic offers, flyboarding uses the latest technology, allowing riders to literally fly above the waves on a platform mounted propulsion pack.
10 minutes – 50 euros
15 minutes – 60 euros
20 minutes – 70 euros
30 minutes – 110 euros (two people can take turns)
1 hour – 200 euros (max 4 people taking turns)
Special experience packages:
Extreme 1: Flyboard and Jet-ski – 90 euros
This comprises 15 minutes on the flyboard for one person and then 15 minutes on the Jetski for 2 people.
Extreme 2 at 125 euros: This comprises 20 minutes on the Flyboard for one person and 30 minutes on the Jetski for two people
Duo 1 at 75 euros: Boat with a maximum of four people for 60 minutes and 15 minutes on the Jetski for two people.
Duo 2 at 130 euros: 120 minutes with the boat for a maximum of four people and 30 minutes on the Jetski, for 2 people
Tri package at 125 euros : 60 minutes with the boat for up to four people, 15 minutes Flyboard for one person, 15 minutes Jetski for two people.
So if you've always wanted to try your hand at the sport of Jet ski-ing or just fancy a treat, it could be worth a visit to the Puerto de Mazarrón to check it out.
To pre-book, call the boys on 629 364 870 (Spanish speaking), or they're on the beach all day from about 11 onwards until it gets dark, up until there are no longer enough tourists for it to be worthwhile. Saturdays and Sundays are busier for Spanish visitors and there are more clients in the evening than daytime.
Nora Nautica are set up on the beach at the El Alamillo beach, which is the long thin beach running between the well-known landmark of the roundabout with the fishing boat , and the next roundabout along, which has the blue lighthouse in the middle of it, on the main road running out of the Puerto de Mazarrón heading towards La Azohia, the N332.

Launching beach
This is a very useful beach to know about as it is used for launching small powerboats and Jetskis, as it’s easy to pull off the road and unload, then park opposite in the urbanization. The beach slopes sharply once below the water line, so is perfect for launching, but if you have a bigger boat, then the only place to launch is to go down to L'Azohia at the far end of the beaches and the launching ramp in the port.
