A superb adventure playground for all the family in the Ricote Valley!
Fun, nature and adventure activities at Murapark in the green oasis of Ricote
Anyone looking for a different way of enjoying the very best of the Region of Murcia will be instantly attracted to Murapark, an adventure and nature tourism centre close to the heart of the green oasis that is the Ricote Valley.
This is a place for the whole family to come with friends of all ages and try their hand at any of the 30 or more activities offered, including ziplines, rock climbing, a military assault course, an aerial park and walkway, mini-golf, archery, off-road pedal karting, boat rides, a giant toboggan slide, paintball … as well as a restaurant and a picnic and barbecue area to wind down and replenish your energy stocks for more fun and games.
The air circuit
Three different air circuits are available for different ages of adventurer, all of them affording great views of the landscape. The “Explorer” circuit is designed for children aged 2 to 10 and is only 1.2 metres off the ground so that parents can follow their young ones around while they complete 5 fun and easy games, including a zip line.
The second level is the “Adventurous” air circuit at a height of 4 metres and with a minimum height for children of 1 metre 35. 4 metres up in the air, it includes at least 15 activities along a 500-metre route which ends with a zip line over the lagoon - be careful with the water jets!
Finally, the “Expert” circuit is at 9 metres off the ground is restricted to those aged 14 and over. The challenges and games increase in difficulty as the route goes on and ends in the largest of the ziplines?
Rock climbing and ziplines
Excitement is never lacking at Murapark and the 9-metre rock climbing wall has 6 climbing routes to attempt – you can challenge your friends to a race if you like!
In terms of ziplines, the longest allows you to cross the whole park in the air, while for children there are others at heights of 9 and 4 metres.
There’s also archery, allowing you to experience the thrill of using one of the most primitive weapons used in human development.
Paintball and buggy rides
The paintball war games provide an extra adrenalin shot and there are both adults’ and children’s versions to enjoy while working as a team and employing your skill, cunning and strategic intelligence. The buggy rides, meanwhile, take you out of Murapark into the countryside – you must be the holder of B2 driver’s licence to take part!
For the little ones
Almost all of the activities for adults also come in children-friendly versions, and on top of that they are offered minigolf, pedal karts, a dry slide, pedalo boats and much more. One of the most popular attractions among kiddies is a treasure hunt for all the family, where they can become archaeologists for a while!
Sundry services
The park is also equipped with picnic and barbecue areas for those who want to bring their own food, and a café bar if you prefer to let others do the cooking for you. A gift shop is also open so that you can take home a souvenir of an unforgettable day out in the Region of Murcia!
And before you go, there are also showers and changing rooms if you need to freshen up before heading home!
Further information and booking can be found at the Murapark website here. The park is open during the winter at weekends from 10.00 to 17.00.
