August 18 Free guided hike along the coast from Percheles to Puntas de Calnegre
A 7.5-km route along the south-westernmost stretch of the Mazarrón coastline
This hiking route runs along the largely flat coastline between Percheles in Mazarrón and Puntas de Calnegre, which is just the other side of the boundary with the municipality of Lorca, passing the beaches of Palazuelos and Los Cloques on the way. It covers a distance of 7.5 km and is expected to last approximately 3 and a half hours, starting at 18.00 at a point of which participants will be notified after they have completed registration (which is available online here).
This is a trek along one of the least often seen stretches of the Murcia coastline, where the cliffs are imposing, the beaches wild and the coves so difficult to access that the most usual approach is from the water!
Those joining in will need their own means of transport to and from the starting point and should bring plenty of drinking water as well as wearing appropriate footwear. NOTE: the use of walking poles is obligatory, pets are not allowed and under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
Participation is entirely free of charge.
