Sports facilities, Pilar de la Horadada
Pilar de la Horadada has a superb sports centre, sailing club, golf course , indoor and outdoor swimming pools
The municipality boasts an extremely well-appointed sports centre on the north-eastern edge of the town, which was opened in 1999.
Among the facilities are a swimming-pool with a retractable roof for year-round use, rock-climbing facilities, eight tennis courts (two clay and six hardcourt surfaces), three paddle tennis courts, two full-size football pitches and other indoor and outdoor smaller pitches, a multi-use sports hall, a gym, rock-climbing facilities, various basketball courts and a frontón court. There is also an athletics track and a skateboarding area for those who enjoy modern city sports rather than the more traditional disciplines!
The facilities are very well used, particularly in the summer when numerous activities are run for the benefit of youngsters.
Throughout the year there are a vast range of courses and activities on offer, details of which can be obtained directly from the sports centre and change seasonally.
