December 1 and 2 The Nutcracker ballet at the Auditorio Víctor Villegas in Murcia
The dancers of the Kiev Ballet perform everyone’s favourite Christmas ballet at the Murcia auditorium
The Nutcracker is undoubtedly the world’s favourite Christmas ballet, and the action is set on Christmas Eve, when little Clara receives a nutcracker doll. The doll is brought to life by the magic of Christmas, along with all the festive sweeties and the Sugar Plum Fairy.
The ballet was first performed in Saint Petersburg in 1892, with choreography by Marius Petipa and the score by Tchaikovsky.
These performances by the Kiev Ballet on 1st and 2nd December in the city of Murcia begin at 20.00 with tickets priced at 35 euros and available online here. The price includes a donation of 1.50 euros to be handed to UNICEF as they struggle to help the war-stricken country of Ukraine.
Alternatively, they are also available from the box office of the auditorium on Avenida Primero de Mayo (open September to July between 9.00 and 14.00 Monday to Friday and two hours before performances), by telephone on 968 343080 during auditorium box office hours (credit or debit card payment) and from the box office of the Filmoteca Regional in Plaza Fontes Murcia (open 18.00 to 21.00 between Tuesday and Saturday).
